3 Delicious Christmas Ham Glazes

We all know how delicious our famous Double Wood Smoked Leg Hams are at christmas time!! So why not take it to the next level and glaze your leg ham this year. John has put together 3 amazing glazes that are delicious and easy to make. 

MARMALADE WHISKY & MUSTARD GLAZE

  • 500g     Marmalade
  • 125ml   Whiskey
  • 2 tsp.     Vegetable Oil
  • 2 tsp.     Dijon Mustard
  • 3 tbsp.   Honey
  • 1 tsp.     Ground cloves
  • Salt & Pepper to season
  1. Place all the ingredients into a saucepan and combine over heat for 5 minutes
  2. Stirring continuously making sure that it doesn’t stick and burn.
  3. Once the glaze is ready pour half of the glaze over the ham and leave the remaining glazing liquid to baste over the ham throughout cooking…

 

PINEAPPLE & APRICOT GLAZE

  • 2 cups      Pineapple Juice
  • 250g          Apricot jam
  • 2 tbsp.       Worstershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp.       Soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp.       Honey
  1. Place all the ingredients into a saucepan and combine over heat for 5 minutes
  2. Stirring continuously making sure that it doesn’t stick and burn.
  3. Once the glaze is ready pour half of the glaze over the ham and leave the remaining glazing liquid to baste over the ham throughout cooking…

 

REDCURRANT & BALSAMIC GLAZE

  • 250g       Redcurrant jam
  • ¼ cup     Brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp.     Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 cup      Water
  • 1 tsp.       Black Peppercorns
  1. Place all the ingredients into a saucepan and combine over heat for 5 minutes
  2. Stirring continuously making sure that it doesn’t stick and burn.
  3. When it is ready strain and discard of the peppercorns.
  4. Pour half of the glaze over the ham and leave the remaining glazing liquid to baste over the ham throughout cooking..
